I know this guy!

I first met Nabil Ayers on tour in 2004. He was playing drums with Alien Crime Syndicate, I was on drums with Jesse Malin, and were traveling together through the United Kingdom. (Check out the photo of us in London on BACKSTAGE ARCHIVE.) We’ve kept in touch through the years and it’s been great to follow his journey from record store owner at Sonic Boom in Seattle to record label president of Beggars Group in NYC. His new book came out on Tuesday, and I can’t wait to dig in. Click pic for ordering info.

Road Trip

I took a drive up north last week to visit family and friends who I haven’t seen in a few years due to the state of the world. It was a fantastic trip! I arrived home safe in Atlanta yesterday, and went through photos from the adventure. Here are a few highlights…

NYC skyline from Hoboken, NJ.

Ice cream in Rutherford, NJ.

Caddy in Brooklyn, NY.

Oculus Station at World Trade Center in NYC.

Blue lights in Rutherford, NJ.

Washington Square Park in NYC.
