I released a tribute EP called Songs of Shane, Vol. 1 in March 2019, and Songs of Shane, Vol. 2 in April 2023. Shortly after Volume 2 came out, I had the honor of sending both CDs to Shane and Victoria Mary Clarke in Dublin. His words and music will always be a source of inspiration.

This day 40 years ago...
H.I. McDunnough was incarcerated on November 29, 1983. The Coen Brothers made a movie about it in 1987 called Raising Arizona. One of my all time favorites.

In case you didn’t know… Björk is an artist from Iceland. She released her first album at age 12, and later went on to become lead singer of The Sugarcubes. Björk began her solo career in the early 90s and continues to push the boundaries of music, art, video, composition, technology, education, performance, fashion, etc.

I took a road trip from Atlanta to Athens last night to see Tortoise at the 40 Watt Club. I’ve been a fan since their album TNT in 1998. This was my first time seeing them live, and my first visit to the legendary 40 Watt. Stellar performance, and fantastic venue!!

Memphis Music
Back home in Atlanta after a few days in Memphis for a super fun recording session with Church Brothers. I was playing drums and producing. More work to do, but we’re off to a great start. Very exciting!
